Dearest Mother, Father & all at home.

Certainly am happy tonight to be able to give you some good news after all the tough going you have had. Tomorrow I am starting on my way home!! Have most of my stuff packed. Feels kind of funny to leave some of the boys, we have seen so much together, but when I think of home it isn’t hard at all. Boy oh boy I can hardly wait. But we will have to be patient. Its going to be a lot of delays in replacement depots waiting for transportation.

There is no need of you to write anymore to me, cause from now on will be on the move so much mail won’t catch up with me. I will write when I can & let you know how things are going. Wish I could get home in time to help you harvest & with some of the fall work. But maybe I won’t be much good until I get used to the climate. Another reason I am in such a hurry to get home is so I can get used to the cold climate again. For 3 winters now & especially the last two. Have been sweating every day of the year. So will probably need to watch myself. But I don’t worry about that. My health is good. I feel just like I always have. Never will I be able to thank God enough for what He has done for me. Blessing me with good health every day that I have been overseas. Well this will be all tonight. May God keep you one & all. Love Chris.
